Mac’s is coming home.
From the very beginning, we dreamt of a place that felt like home.
That feeling of coming over for dinner, to a place to put down your burdens and be present.
Candle-lit dining table, lipstick-stained wine glasses, laughter, and the kind of peace you can only find coming home.
A real home for the community.
What Ann and Bruce have done for this part of town cannot be overstated.
Many nights I would walk down the hill to Barking Legs Theater to take part in the art shows, music, and comedy nights.
They too have strived to create a space for community, love, art, and culture.
They achieved bigger than such, on arrival you feel the transformative power that is art. There is nothing more powerful in this world at shaping a neighborhood quite like art and food. And to me, they are not mutually exclusive.
Living in this area I have stared out the window of the car too many times to count at the bones of these buildings and this side of town.
Dreaming of being able to be a part of this community, was always my goal, it just took time to get here.
We are thankful for the opportunity, our community, friends, family, and loved ones.
We will ask you again soon,
Will you come over for dinner?
